This year, the renowned team from Local Knowledge TV—hosts Ali Hussainy and Rush Maltz—joined us for a very special episode, spotlighting the 3rd Annual Star brite SeaSafe Clean Water Collective. Now in its ninth season, Local Knowledge has gained a loyal following for its authentic approach to fishing and outdoor adventures. For this episode, Ali and Rush took the time to not only attend our event but to shoot an entire episode showcasing Conservation Director Cory Redwine and her dedicated work for the Indian River Lagoon.
hands on education
In the show’s opening, Cory and her team are hands-on, planting mangroves along the riverbank. This crucial work supports shoreline stability, improves water quality, and helps sustain marine habitats. Cory’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: care for the river, and it will care for you. Her commitment goes beyond her role—it’s a way of life.
Work hard, play hard
The second half of the episode takes viewers on the water with Cory and local guides Alex Hughey and Alex Gorichky, where they fish and talk about the importance of preserving these waters. With Ali and Rush highlighting the event, the episode brings both expertise and passion to the cause, underscoring the close relationship between conservation and the enjoyment of our natural resources.
