The IGFA is a nonprofit organization committed to the conservation of game fish and the promotion of responsible, ethical angling practices, through science, education, rule making, record keeping and recognition of outstanding accomplishments in the field of angling.
In August 2021, the International Game Fish Association received prestigious UNEP accreditation, to globally represent recreational anglers and their conservation communities at the United Nations level. Never before in history have the world’s recreational anglers had a voice and representative observer status at the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA). The IGFA and UNEP currently are mapping out the framework for long-term cooperation on UNESCO’s Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development (2020 to 2030) and the GEMS Ocean Project as well as other marine and fisheries conservation projects.
At Star brite, we understand how important it is to support the IGFA and the fishing community. We are proud to be a part of the conversation and work towards meaningful conservation efforts. As we continue our efforts, look for our conservation director, Cory Redwine in upcoming 2023 world record books. Our full page ad will include a sneak peak at our message: Coast-to-coast, Star brite supports efforts to protect our beaches and waterways for future generations. Whether it’s helping restore the clam population in the Indian River Lagoon or planting a million mangroves, we support the causes that you support. That’s the SeaSafe way. It’s Good Clean Fun!
