Captain Alex Gorichky has joined Team DoGooder, teaming up with Project SeaSafe Conservation Director Cory Redwine to tackle critical restoration work on Florida’s coast. Together, they’re working on the New Swell Mangrove Restoration initiative, a project devoted to restoring mangrove ecosystems that help safeguard shorelines, support biodiversity, and enhance water quality. Alex’s role in the project amplifies Team DoGooder’s mission to bring passionate, hands-on conservation efforts to the forefront.
Rooted in the Space Coast
Raised on the Space Coast, Alex’s life has always revolved around Florida’s coastal waters. From fishing and diving to sharing his environmental knowledge with local communities, his passion for these ecosystems shines through. “I’ve spent my life on these waters, and I believe in giving back to the environment and community that have given so much to me,” says Alex.

Joining Cory Redwine, Alex is now contributing to multiple Project SeaSafe initiatives, including the New Swell Mangrove Restoration and IRL Clam Restoration Project.
